Urzila Carlson has become one of the most recognizable names in comedy across Australia and New Zealand, building an international following with her dry delivery, sharp observations and candid take on everyday life.
Born in South Africa and based in New Zealand, Carlson has taken her stand up around the world, performing across Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and North America. Her career has earned her multiple comedy awards, including six New Zealand Comedy Guild Awards for Best Female Comedian and several Melbourne International Comedy Festival People’s Choice Awards.
International audiences may also know Carlson from her Netflix stand up special Overqualified Loser and Netflix’s Comedians of the World, as well as appearances on Taskmaster NZ, QI, Have You Been Paying Attention? and The Masked Singer Australia. She is also the creator and host of the podcast That’s Enough Already! and appeared alongside Amy Schumer and Will Forte in the Netflix film Kinda Pregnant.
