Brent Butt
Born in Tisdale, Saskatchewan, Brent Butt is one of Canada’s most beloved comedians, writers, and creators. He began his career in stand-up at age 20, quickly headlining top clubs in Toronto and touring internationally. Brent is best known as the creator and star of the hit sitcom CORNER GAS, which earned an International Emmy nomination, multiple Canadian Screen Awards, and a devoted following in over 26 countries. He also created HICCUPS, wrote and starred in films including NO CLUE and CORNER GAS: THE MOVIE, and launched the animated series CORNER GAS: ANIMATED. In 2013, he received a Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal, and his debut novel HUGE became a #1 Canadian bestseller. Performing, writing, and producing, Brent Butt continues to be a driving force in Canadian comedy.
