Dog Days of Summer — Wiener Dog Races
Prepare for some of the most highly anticipated events of the summer — Dog Days of Summer returns to Hastings Racecourse & Casino with two events!
Fun for the whole family, get ready to root for charming canine athletes as they dash across the track, vying for the titles of TOP CORGI and TOP WIENER DOG.
Our second Dog Days of Summer event will take place on Saturday, July 12, 2025, with Wiener Dog Races!
Live Racing will begin at 2:30PM PT, with the dog races interspersed, and we’ll also have live music adding to the excitement trackside.
We can’t wait to have you join us for the Dog Days of Summer!
IMPORTANT NOTE: No other dogs are allowed on-site unless they are a service dog or formally registered to race that day. Let’s keep our furry friends safe and happy by following this rule.

No other dogs are allowed on-site. Unless they are a service dog or formally registered to race that day, visitors with unregistered dogs will be asked to leave.
Registration Details: Each application will be reviewed after the registration deadline. A member from the Hastings Racecourse team will reach out to you shortly afterwards if you have been successfully chosen as a participate. Limited space available. First come, first served. Participation is not guaranteed. To be eligible the corgi must be a purebred. A $20 minimum cash donation to the SPCA is required to all successful applicants. The cash donation can be made on race day.
