The PROUD Volunteer Program rewards volunteer work and fundraising efforts of Great Canadian team members by making corporate donations to those local charities and not-for-profit organizations.
Each year, the PROUD Volunteer Program supports over 360 local charities and not-for-profits.
PROUD SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Great Canadian Entertainment awards 10 PROUD Scholarships annually, available to Great Canadian team members and their families who are making a strong impact in their community through volunteering, while pursuing post-secondary education.
PROUD CHALLENGE

Game on! The PROUD Challenge places all 25 Great Canadian destinations against each other in this flagship PROUD program. Each destination selects a Signature Charity for the year and performs volunteer work and fundraising campaigns throughout the year to support the organization.
At the end of the year, one destination is crowned the winner of the PROUD Challenge, and earns $10,000 for their Signature Charity in addition to all of the efforts already performed throughout the year. Runner-ups each receive donations for their Signature Charities, too!
PROUD CHAMPION

Each year, one GCE team member is crowned the PROUD Champion for making an extraordinary mark in their community through volunteering and fundraising. In addition to the PROUD Champion, who is awarded $5,000 for themselves plus $5,000 for a charity of their choice, four Runner-ups are selected each year and each receive a prize amount for themselves as well as a donation for a charity of their choice.

From December 1-12, team members at Great Canadian Entertainment destinations rally together to perform festive acts of kindness for local charities or community organizations. Toy drives, food drives, collecting blankets, winter coats and clothes for homeless shelters, volunteering at local hospitals/shelters, providing holiday lunches to those in need, dropping off cookies with personalized “thank you” notes to emergency workers…no idea is off the table during the 12 Days of Giving!

Great Canadian Signature Charities
Great Canadian destinations support hundreds of charities across Canada each year. In addition to this, all 25 destinations have one Signature Charity partner. This is a charity or not-for-profit organization that is special to their community and selected by team members. Great Canadian destinations work closely with their Signature Charities throughout the year to help fundraise, volunteer and find meaningful and fun ways to support the organization.
