Melissa Etheridge burst onto the rock scene in 1988 with her self-titled debut and quickly became known for her raw vocals and confessional songwriting. Hits like “Bring Me Some Water,” “Come to My Window,” and “I’m the Only One” earned her two Grammy® Awards and cemented her place as one of America’s most beloved rock icons. Over her decades-long career, Etheridge has remained fearless—openly sharing her truths, overcoming breast cancer, and using her platform to inspire change. She’s released 16 studio albums, including Memphis Rock & Soul and The Medicine Show, and earned an Academy Award® for “I Need to Wake Up” from An Inconvenient Truth. Most recently, Etheridge captivated audiences with her Broadway show My Window – A Journey Through Life and the powerful 2024 docuseries I’m Not Broken.
